About
Built by operators, for operators
Total Chaos is a Belgian software company building professional show-control and AV tools for live production environments.
Our Story
From the booth to the codebase
Total Chaos was founded by people who have spent years in production environments — behind mixing desks, in followspot booths, at front-of-house consoles, and in programming sessions that ran until dawn.
We have felt the frustration of tools that do not fit the workflow, the anxiety of a show file that no one else understands, and the relief of a well-prepared cue list executed perfectly. We started Total Chaos because we believe live production deserves software that respects the craft.
Today, we are a small, focused team based in Belgium, building tools for professionals around the world.

PlaceholderOur Name
Controlled chaos
"Total Chaos" is not a description of our software — it is a description of live production. Every show is a convergence of creativity, technology, tight timelines, and human variables. Things go wrong. Plans change. The unexpected happens.
Our job is not to eliminate chaos. That is impossible, and often undesirable — chaos is where creativity lives. Our job is to give operators the tools to control that chaos, to navigate it with confidence, and to turn complexity into reliable performance.
The name is a reminder of what we are here to do: build software that brings order to the beautiful, unpredictable, high-stakes world of live production.
Values
What we believe
These principles guide every decision we make — from feature design to pricing to support.
Operator First
The person running the show is the most important user. Everything else is secondary.
Safety by Design
Software in live production must be safe by default. No accidental changes, no ambiguous states, no hidden risks.
Honest Communication
We do not oversell, we do not hide limitations, and we do not promise what we cannot deliver.
European Craft
Built in Belgium with attention to detail, long-term thinking, and respect for the production community.
Perpetual Ownership
You buy software, you own it. No forced subscriptions, no hostage-taking, no artificial obsolescence.
Documentation is Part of the Product
A feature that is not documented does not exist. Guides, references, and tutorials ship with every release.

PlaceholderEuropean Craft
Built in Belgium with care
Total Chaos is headquartered in Belgium, at the heart of one of Europe's most vibrant cultural and technical production communities. We are surrounded by world-class theatres, festivals, and AV companies — and we listen to them.
Being European means more than location. It means data privacy by default (GDPR compliance), thoughtful design, and a long-term commitment to our customers. We are not chasing growth-at-all-costs. We are building tools that last.
Approach
How we build software
Our development process is designed to produce reliable, useful, and honest tools.
Listen to Operators
We talk to the people who will use the software before we write a single line of code.
Design for Safety
Every feature is evaluated for safety, clarity, and operator control before implementation.
Document Before Shipping
No feature ships without documentation. Guides, references, and tutorials are part of the release.
Iterate with Feedback
Early Access users shape the product. We listen, adjust, and improve based on real production needs.
Honest Status
We are small, focused, and early
Total Chaos is a young company. We do not have a massive team, a global sales force, or decades of history. What we have is deep experience in live production, a clear vision for what professional show control should be, and a commitment to building it right.
CueForge is in Early Access. It is usable, it is improving, and it is shaped by the feedback of real operators. If you need a mature, battle-tested solution today, QLab is an excellent choice. If you want to help shape the next generation of show control, we would love to work with you.
