Cue Engine
CueForge's cue engine is the central playback system that evaluates cue order, timing, triggers, and transitions. Every cue has a number, a type, and a defined behaviour. The engine guarantees that cues fire in the order you designed, with deterministic timing and clear feedback when something changes.
What it does
The cue engine is the heart of CueForge. It evaluates every cue in your show, respects timing relationships, handles triggers, and ensures that playback proceeds in the order you designed. Cues are numbered, typed, and configured with properties that the engine interprets consistently.
Why it matters
In live production, timing is everything. A cue that fires late — or fires twice — can ruin a moment. The cue engine is built to be deterministic: given the same project and the same operator input, it produces the same result every time.
Typical workflows
- Number cues sequentially or by family
- Set pre-wait, post-wait, and fade times per cue
- Preview cues in Edit Mode without affecting live output
- Chain cues with auto-follow or auto-continue
Current limitations
- Looping behaviour is cue-type specific and documented per cue family.
