Group Cues
Group Cues let you nest multiple cues inside a parent cue and control whether they fire sequentially or in parallel. This is essential for complex scenes where lighting, sound, video, and automation must fire together or in a specific order.
What it does
Group Cues let you bundle multiple child cues into a single parent cue. You control whether children fire sequentially (one after another) or in parallel (all at once). Hold points let you pause the group for manual continuation. This is essential for complex scenes where multiple systems must fire together.
Why it matters
Without Group Cues, coordinating lighting, sound, video, and automation for a single scene requires the operator to trigger multiple cues manually — increasing the chance of timing errors. Groups reduce that complexity to a single GO.
Typical workflows
- Create a Group Cue as a parent
- Add child cues (audio, video, image, automation)
- Set sequential or parallel timing per child
- Add hold points for manual continuation
Current limitations
- Deeply nested groups can become hard to debug. Keep nesting shallow where possible.
